NOTICE

The resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted on May 2, 2017, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the COUNTY OF PUTNAM, New York, is not authorized to expend money or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this Notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the publication of this Notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the constitution.

BOND RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY OF PUTNAM, NEW YORK, ADOPTED MAY 2, 2017, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF VARIOUS VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT; STATING THE ESTIMATED TOTAL COST THEREOF IS $983,000; APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR, INCLUDING THE EXPENDITURE OF $483,000 IN FUNDS EXPECTED TO BE RECEIVED FROM THE STATE OF NEW YORK; AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $500,000 SERIAL BONDS OF SAID COUNTY TO FINANCE THE BALANCE OF SAID APPROPRIATION.

Object or purpose: the acquisition of various vehicles and equipment for the highway department, including (a) various heavy equipment, the aggregate estimated cost of $715,000 (b) various light equipment, at the aggregate estimated cost of $120,000 and (c) various other equipment, at the aggregate estimated cost of $148,000.

Periods of probable usefulness: five (5) and fifteen (15) years
Amount of obligations to be issued: $500,000

A complete copy of the bond resolution summarized above shall be available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Clerk to the Legislature, at the County Office Building, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York.
