In this hands–on, enrichment program, youth will:

  • Discuss a variety of different animals including, dogs, cats, alpacas, sheep,
    pigs and horses.
  • Learn about animal nutrition, dentistry, microscope use, bloodwork, and animal behaviors while shadowing local veterinarians.
  • Discover STEM related careers in Veterinary Science and Medicine.

This program is open to any Putnam County Youth, Ages 9-14 Years Old Limited to 14 Youth on a first come, first serve basis.
Registration Fee: $110.00 Non 4-H Members; $80.00 for Putnam 4-H Members* Non-Refundable
(includes 4-H Enrollment & Materials)
This program may not be suitable for youth with respiratory issues and/or animal related allergies, etc.

Live in Concert-Friday, August 23rd TRAMPS LIKE US – Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band!

See a one of a kind show when Tramps Like Us perform their concert rendition of Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band on Friday, August 23rd at the Friday Night BBQ Series at Putnam County Golf Course. Their Springsteen Tribute Band gives a cutting-edge performance of all Springsteen’s songs. No other tribute band can mirror Springsteen and his E Street Band like Tramps Like Us.

Enjoy the Open Air Friday Night BBQ Series Under the Stars Every Friday Night From June 1st through October (unless noted otherwise).

Tickets are available for purchase online for $29 and include a BBQ Buffet and the Show. A Cash Bar will be available throughout the evening.

Doors Open at 6:30 PM

We Rock Rain or Shine and take it indoors to our large ballroom during inclement weather.

Description:
This course is designed to enable senior staff personnel to
operate efficiently during an incident or event within the
Incident Command System (ICS). This course focuses on
management of expanding incidents and was developed
under the leadership of the NWCG and complies with the
NIMS/HSPD-5 requirements for Incident Command System
training.
Objectives: 1. Describe how the National Incident
Management System (NIMS) Command and Management
component supports the management of expanding
incidents.
2. Describe the incident/event management process for
supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed in the
ICS.
3. Implement the incident management process on a
simulated Type 3 incident.
4. Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.
Course Curriculum Structure:
Module 1 – Course Overview
Module 2 – ICS Fundamentals Review
Module 3 – Incident/Event Assessment & Incident Objectives
Module 4 – Unified Command
Module 5 – Incident Resource Management
Module 6 – Planning Process
Module 7 – Demobilization, Transfer of Command, &
Closeout
Prerequisite:
The prerequisite to enroll in this course is verified
completion of the ICS Basic (I-200) ICS for Single
Resources & Initial Action Incidents. Information on the

AWR-313 HOMEMADE EXPLOSIVES: AWARENESS, RECOGNITION, AND RESPONSE @ Putnam County Training and Operations Center-Auditorium

The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) will be presenting this course. To succeed in preparing for and responding to future homemade explosive events in the United States, emergency response agencies must complete extensive preparatory actions—developing plans and procedures, acquiring equipment, and conducting training and exercises that focus on likely scenarios. This program supports these imperatives by providing current training to first responders with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively prevents, interdict, and respond to an imminent threat caused by homemade explosives laboratories and producers.
